Catniss loves her hedgehog toy. She catches it, wrastles it, and carries it around like a dog.

Our cat is the best dog... like whenever we are going in and out of the garage, she'll run up to the door, then sit at the threshold like a well-trained dog and watch/wait. She very rarely actually comes into the garage, she just sits on her hind legs and watches us until we come back in.

When you make eye contact with her and are walking her direction, she'll look at you excitedly, then just as you're approaching, she'll flop onto her side so you can give her a good scratching. I mean, who can resist a cat flopping down in your path as you go about your day?

She's  turning into a big ol' bookworm

I always liked how the Young family (in Corvallis) holds a 'Last Supper' on New Year's Eve. Everyone picks a food for their last supper. I finally remembered to plan for it this year and the first Last Supper may be the last Last Supper, lol. I made chicken pad thai (Nate), pizza (Kieran), steak (Asher) french dip sandwhiches (Kylea & Brennan), and pasta salad (Hollyn). I decided that if it were my last supper, I wouldn't want to spend my time cooking so I bought myself a sub sandwich. 🤣

Some months ago a neighbor a few blocks away had a pile of flagstone near the curb. I knocked on the door to inquire about it and learned it was *possibly* about to be up for grabs as they were pulling it out of their yard for something smoother. (They had an elderly parent living with them.) In the end, I was able to grab it, and more another time. Some of it was used for our front walk next to the driveway, and what's remaining is going in around our planter boxes. I'm stoked! Free stuff is my favorite!

Welcome to the family Sylvie! I was prepared to maker her my baby, but in the end I haven't driven her since the ride home from Grants Pass. It's made the most sense for Brennan to drive her and he is stoked about it! He's most definitely driven with the top down many times, even though we haven't had a warm day yet, and barely any breaks from the rain for that matter. She does however get garage priviledges, so Brennan's main vehicle has booted out Nate's car, lol.
