Halloween 2023

 Another Halloween in the books!

Nate and I were the Coca Cola Polar Bear and a coke.

Hollyn made her own costume and got a LOT of attention/positive feedback for it. She won "Most Unique" at her school's Halloween Party. She had people asking to take her picture - even adults wanting to show their spouse - someone at Trunk-or-Treat gave her cash because they liked it so much. 🤣Later at the very end of trick-or-treating I set my phone, with it's flashlight on, inside her box and it lit up her fire shirt. It was perfect, I wish we'd done that all along!

Kylea asked to be Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. And then she watched the movie just to know who exactly the character is that she'd chosen to be. (Well, half of it. Then walked away in boredom like she does with most movies, lol.)

Kieran started making himself a robot costume about a month before Halloween. Then abandoned that project and decided to wear his Mandalorian costume again. Unfortunately, it wasn't until he put it on before school Halloween morning that he realized it had gotten a little tight, haha. So then we had to use safety pins to hold the back together, and I still don't know what he did at PE time. By that evening, when Nate accidentally forgot to bring the helmet home from his office, Kieran was pretty upset. So there was a giant meltdown from him while we were trying to get Ky's makeup on, get ready for trunk-or-treat, get dinner made, and after arriving at the trunk-or-treat. He finally got over it and enjoyed all the free candy you get no matter how great your costume is.

Asher got together with friends, so no picture, but they all wore a suit with a clown/scary mask as white-collar robbers.  100% Asher's style. 😅Asher had already been saying that he really wanted a nice suit. After discussing that they're kind of spendy, he confirmed that he was ok getting a suit as his main or only gift from us. He wanted one bad enough to get less for Christmas. 😇 Buuuut, I wouldn't have a suit in time for Halloween for him. Goodwill only had large, ill-fitting ones, so I asked on Facebook if we could borrow or buy one off someone else.  The Pugmire's came through and gave us a suit of one of their now grown sons and it is awesome! A little big at the shoulders, but fits enough and came with THREE pairs of matching pants! We scored a free suit! Now Asher can get actual Christmas gifts, haha.
