Catniss wishes she could climb as well as the humans.
Meanwhile, Nate labored to build his wall. We have been working to build a blockade to keep the chickens to one side of the yard. We built them that covered chicken run, but it's not that big and I do like having them free-range... just not ruining the landscaping. Or pooping on the deck and just outside the door. Or eating the garden.
The ultimate plan is to create a pergola, which I wanted from the get-go. Hence the tall posts. Then we added trellis and gates - one from the deck, and one on the lawn, and now a wall, to create a blockade for the stinksters. We also recently had to block their access to under the deck after finding Brownie sitting on 18 eggs!
So the chickens are adjusting to a smaller space. I'm working very hard to give them lots of greenery though.
