RIP Hollyn

Nov 2nd seems like a good time to put up the Christmas tree. See, after dropping Kieran off at a birthday party across town, I took the opportunity to wander around the nearby shopping center, including Hobby Lobby. Their Christmas decor was plentiful and so pretty and I suddenly felt VERY much like decorating for Christmas. That evening I brought Asher with me to purchase an artificial tree from Craigslist even. It wasn't even Halloween yet, lol.
I told Nate jokingly that we should have our Thanksgiving theme be "Christmas". I happened to mention it on a day he'd taken off of work, so he was in a great mood to take my joke seriously. 😆 Making room for the tree escalated into double closet clean-outs and rearranging of other things and furniture. But, we got the tree up!... Turns out our ceilings must not be 9ft high after all. 😏
12:30am leaving the ER with Kieran. He had had about 24+ hours of mild asthma that wasn't being controlled by his inhaler. We debated the necessity of going to the ER for it, but I spoke to a nurse on our insurance hotline and she said we probably needed to since the inhaler wasn't cutting it. Having read about parents that got their child taken away when they opted not to take their child to the hospital after a Dr had recommended it (even though they were correct that their child's case was not what the Dr thought it might be), I thought, "better go" now that the advice was on the record.
Other than coughing and a very slight wheeze, he was fine. In fact, they said his oxygen levels were really pretty good. They could hear a bit of constriction though and gave him a nebulizer treatment. (After a 2.5 hr wait of course. 🙄) He immediately said, "Wow, this is MUCH better." We were sent home with instructions to keep using the inhaler at home. After the late night, Nate took a "sick day" the next day, which worked good because Kieran did again as well because of the darn cough.
Who wears it better? Kieran decided to try on my wedding ring during Sacrament Meeting and it got stuck, lol. Since it was nearing the time for the ordinance, we made him sit tight until the close of the meeting, which gave him plenty of time to fret. He was mortified at the idea of wearing a women's ring in front of his friends.

Even though he'd excelled at the 2K, he challenged himself by choosing the 3K. Came in 32nd of 80 boys.

The great experiment - can I get a Jacaranda tree to grow in the PNW! This photo was taken several weeks ago. It now has one small limb with leaves. 😞 Do you like the sweater though? And the frost cover?

I got Kylea a bunch of dresses and she saw this one and immediately knew she wanted to wear it for Halloween. Lol. She loves it though.
