Kieranisms
I told Kieran that the girls were going to watch something in my room and maybe they'd let him join them. Kieran considered with interest and said, "I'm handsome enough, I could."
In a conversation in which Kieran was advocating for me having another baby, he told me he felt like we needed another member of the family. Ky chimed in with "a girl!" and Kieran countered, "No, a Boy! I think you should have a boy baby so I have someone to play with!" I told him, "Kieran, you would be 8 years older than him, you guys wouldn't play together." He replied, "I know, that's why you should have laid him earlier!" 🥚🐔🐣😂
Kieran agreed to help me make dinner tonight - Broccoli Cheese Soup. It really did turn out well, he had a great time helping, and was Suuuuper proud of it. Unfortunately, the rest of the family was not suitably impressed. As dinner went on with everyone eating and chatting, Kieran got up and walked over to me. He said in a sober voice, "Mom, I feel like no one is really saying how much they like the dinner or thanking me or anything." 😔😏 I told him that that happens to me a lot so I understand. I then told him something I really love about him is that when he likes my food, he eats it really enthusiastically and tells me how much he likes it and thanks me. With a giant grin on his face and feeling assured he's clearly the best kid in the family, he hurried back to his seat and began gobbling up his soup in a grand show of appreciation and love. ❤️
Excellent response by mom in the soup story!!!
