Wraping up the School Year

Twinners! With a significant height difference.

Who was sampling the Baking Soda???
Wrestling Time with Dad

My little baby is 5. You guys, he's FIVE!!! So crazy. But so, so great. Kieran, you started off as "Kieran the Patient" and then turned into quite a handful! You are such a delight to watch learn and grow, though. You love your older siblings and are bound and determined to keep up. You love to play with the hose outside, Legos, and playing with Mora. Your favorite food is Cottage Cheese and "Mac and Cheese", both of which you request daily. When you grow up you want to be Superman.
Love you Kier-Bear!

Congradulations to Brennan on his final band concert of the year. They played The Pink Panther, Sweet Caroline, and the Theme from the Avengers movie.

The kids get 3 ages to have birthday parties. (5, 8, and 12) This meant Kieran had earned his first. With how crazy life is these days and no space in our little house, I planned his party for a local park. As the time drew near, the weather report was 80% chance of thunderstorms and other events were being cancelled, such as the father-son campout. I was unable to use the clubhouse on that day, couldn't move it to a different Saturday, and didn't want to pay to use an indoor place. So I cancelled the party. BUT... my friend holds a playgroup at her house every Friday morning. I ended up taking Kieran to her house to attend that (while I was at work) and then hurried over at noon to celebrate with cake while the friends were still there. It was PERFECT! Before I arrived they fed the kids some snacks I also brought (knowing they'd need some food while waiting for my arrival), so Kieran got a candle in his little corn dogs too, lol. But it worked out so well to have play time with friends and then do some treats outside. I might just hold all future parties at the Brewster's. :-)

For the June RS activity, it was Survivor themed and I was in charge of providing some desserts, preferably dutch oven to go along with the dutch oven cooking instruction. I couldn't decide between several, so I made three. Hahaha.

Cooking the stacked way was a first for me. I could get so into dutch oven cooking. Love it!
 Happy Preschool Graduation, Kieran!

And Happy End-of-Year celebration/Graduation to Kylea at her Montessori school! She was VERY excited to see us in the audience. First time she's had siblings to come see and support her in something.

And then we celebrated her 7th birthday which had taken place the day before. Now she and Hollyn are twinsies again.

See that dutch oven birthday cake? I wasn't kidding. Actually, it was a strategic move because Ky isn't super into sweet foods. She likes chocolate cupcakes without the frosting. Making my chocolate pudding cake seemed like a great fit since it is a frostingless cake. If you have the "100 years of Camp Cooking" cookbook from Mom, it's the Chocolate Lover's Delight one. Seriously one of my favorite desserts to make ever.
The boys wanted me to post this:

Hanging out in the High Desert of central Oregon...

Just kidding. It's only the bus stop by our house. Hahaha.

Kieran and Hollyn making friends wherever they go. Cute Turner children in this case.
